Here are the states that have the highest and lowest average monthly mortgages

This week, a bill pay service released its annual Household Bill Pay report, which reveals how much the average U.S. household spends on essential bills. The report found that the average amount spent on household bills increased by 4% year over year. Out of all the bills, the monthly mortgage payment was the most expensive, with Americans spending an average of $885 billion per year on it. California had the highest average monthly mortgage payment, along with the second-highest average rent payment. On the other hand, West Virginia had the lowest average monthly mortgage payment.
